“It was a team win,” said Colonial Beach Head Coach Scott Foster. “I think we’re battle tested definitely playing King George and Sussex back to back. I told the kids it doesn’t get any harder than that…we just got a good win against a scrappy King & Queen team. They don’t stop playing.”

Colonial Beach will host their final nonconference game against Mathews on Sept. 28 before the district season begins next weekend. Colonial Beach (2-2) will host Rappahannock (2-2) for their homecoming on Oct. 5. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

Standings: Essex 4-0, Lancaster 3-1, Colonial Beach 2-2, Rappahannock 2-2, Washington & Lee 2-2, Northumberland 1-3
