Colonial Beach’s Rachel Allison led the team with eight kills, followed by McKenzie Conway with five aces, Brooke Payne with 15 assists, Kora Herrod with six digs, and Meghan Seamon, Conaway, Herrod and Allison each had a block. Herrod also had 14 serving receptions.

Varsity Field Hockey Tournament: Northumberland 4, Heritage 0—Lizzie Hall scored with Lauren Brent assisting. In the second half, Megan Baughan scored with another assist from Brent. Lauren Brent scored the final two goals, one of which was assisted by Carrie Jo Jett. Goalie Johnnie McAfee had three saves; Woodside 3, Northumberland 1—Lauren Brent scored with an assist from Lizzie Hall. Bridgette McLaughlin let the Indians with seven takeaways, and Lauren and Megan Baughan each had three shots each.

On Oct. 13, the Run for Your Life 5K, and Trick & Trot Monster Mile will be held at the Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury campus at 132 Lancaster Drive in Irvington. Because parking is limited, free shuttle service will be available from the White Stone Methodist Church parking lot at 118 Methodist Church Road in White Stone. Northern Neck Wrestling Club will be holding open enrollment for regular season on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the month of October.
