State Police investigating fatal crash near Monross Middle School
Traffic on Kings Highway was stopped for over two hours after single car accident last week
Early Friday morning emergency and law enforcement officers responded to fatal accident in Westmoreland County.
On Nov. 9 at approximately 8 a.m., Roy L. Park, 44, of Fredericksburg, was pronounced dead on the scene after crashing into a tree while traveling eastbound on Route 3.
Trooper Matt Altizer, of the Virginia State Police, said traffic was closed for at least two hours between Routes 621 and 202 near Montross Middle School while emergency services and local agencies tended to the accident.
Representatives from the Virginia’s Department of Transportation, Virginia State Police, Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Services responded to the accident.
Trooper Altizer said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
