Former deputy charged with sexual misconduct
Special agents with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Richmond Field Office arrested a Westmoreland County resident and former deputy, David Eagal, 58, of Long Point Rd. without incident following an investigation of sexual misconduct involving a 13 year-old female victim.
Eagal was charged with three felonies including Carnal Knowledge of a 13 year-old, Crimes Against Nature, and Computer Solicitation. Eagal was transported to the Northern Neck Regional Jail where he is being held without bond pending his arraignment on Jan. 7, 2013 at the Westmoreland County General District Court.
The arrest is due in part to a citizen tip. Following an allegation, police conducted an investigation and gathered evidence. After consultation with the Westmoreland County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office, police arrested Eagal.
