Crowned the team’s most valuable wrestler, James Snider placed first in the 126-pound division. Snider was followed by top place finishers Moses Oveido (126 lbs.) and Gabe Loesel (195 lbs.)

The Eagles were ahead of the host team King George with 117 points, Bishop Ireton with 116.5, Caroline with 113 and Manchester with 77.5.
“I was thoroughly impressed with our performance this past weekend at the Nick Mason Invite,” said W&L head coach Brian Satterwhite. “We are continuing to improve and many individuals are stepping up. There are a few things that as a team we need to work on, but they are the simple things that can be fixed easily. Come post season wrestling we will be running like a fine tuned machine, but right now we are looking forward to our home Tri with Lackey and McDonough High Schools both from Maryland.”
The match against the Maryland schools will be held at W&L High School on Jan. 8 at 5 p.m.
