Revival reflects year-round praise at Siloam
Pastor Connie Jones of Siloam Baptist Church is a lifelong resident of Zacata in Westmoreland County.
Next week, Siloam Baptist Church in Zacata will celebrate its annual Spring Revival, May 8 through May 10 at 7 p.m. Although the Revival brings additional activities and opportunities for praise, Siloam’s congregation is active year-round with ministries including the Deacons and Deaconess Ministry, Trustees Ministry, Usher Board, three Dance Ministries and two choirs. Siloam has a membership of more than 500, according to their website www.siloambaptistchurch.org. About his congregation, Pastor Connie Jones says, “We love the Lord Jesus Christ and we love to worship Him in spirit and truth. Amen.”
Hometown: “Zacata. I have lived here all by life.”
Family: “My mother’s name is Gloria Jenkins and my father is Lester Reed. I am married to Frances Jones. We have one son and one grandson.”
Education: “I graduated from Washington & Lee High School and attended Richmond Virginia Seminary School.”
Church: “I have been pastoring for five years and seven months at Siloam Baptist Church.”

Siloam Baptist Church in Zacata, Montross traces its beginnings to 1880 when a group of worshipers met “under a brush arbor at Branchville on Nomini Ferry Road…” Today, Siloam has more than 500 active members, according to its website.
