Steffey named new head coach

Beach School Board selected the graduate earlier this month.

“I was excited when I heard it,” Steffey said. “I knew there was a good candidate that applied for it so I was appreciative to get it and there are things I want to do.”

Steffey finished his collegiate career at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg and played his early years at Rappahannock Community College.

In 2008, Steffey was named to the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star game, was named to the Virginia High School League’s All-State First Team, named Region A and Tidewater District Player of the Year. Steffey currently serves as an assistant coach on the football team.
