Scholastic Bowl: Essex and Washington & Lee took a 2-0 start each to the season at Colonial Beach High School.  The home team, Colonial Beach, and Lancaster followed with finishing 1-1 on the day, and Northumberland and Rappahannock dropping both rounds.

Round 1-Essex 215, W&L 170 and Northumberland 85; Colonial Beach 210, Lancaster 135 and Rappahannock 105.

Round 2-Essex 200, Lancaster 185 and W&L 170; Rappahannock 150, Colonial Beach 95 and Northumberland 60.

Volleyball: Auburn def. Northumberland 3-0 in the Group 1A State Semifinals at VCU Siegel Center. Auburn wen ton to defeat Altavista 3-0 for the state championship. Northumberland ended the year at 23-3.

Football: Central Luneburg def. Washington & Lee 28-19, Franklin def. Rappahannock 39-14, and Essex def. Perry McCluer 42-21. W&L and Rappahannock were eliminated from the playoffs.

On Nov. 28, Annual Turkey Day 10K will be held on the boardwalk in the Town of Colonial Beach beginning at 8 a.m. Racers will meet at the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department on Colonial Avenue. This year the Boosters are offering 10 different membership options, in hopes to accommodate a wide range of students, parents and community members.
