holiday break, the time practicing has shown to be effective. After the opening week of play, the Colonial Beach Lady Drifters left Lancaster High School ending the week on a 4-0 winning streak to start the season.

Collecting wins on the road and at home, the Lady Drifters are scratching the surface as they continue to defend their region title earned last season.

In their season opener, the Lady Drifters opened the season winning 56-55 at home in a tight overtime finish against North Stafford.

Senior Billie Gould led the team scoring 16 points, collecting 11 rebounds and six steals in route to the team’s first win.  Junior Sydni Carey followed with 13 points and dishing out a team high seven assists.

Freshman Alexia Wilson led the team with 13 rebounds to go along with five points.
