Small town girl sings to big time success
After years of singing locally and across the country, Angelica Baylor of Montross has found great success as the background singer for national R&B hip-hop artist Ginuwine.

Baylor, who is described by her sisters and friends as trendy, fashion forward, and bubbly, yet down to earth, has always been a performer. “Angelica has always been in love with music. All genres of music!” said her mother Adraine Bibbens.
Anyone who went to a basketball game during her years at Montross Middle School and Washington and Lee High School has probably heard Baylor beautifully belt out the National Anthem. Today, anyone who listens to recording artist, Ginuwine, can hear her powerful voice as background singer.
Reflecting on the times when she sang the National Anthem at school Baylor said, “I always felt I would be singing for the rest of my life and hoped that it would be on huge stages. I’m blessed that it actually came true.”
