If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all
In a presentation at the January 13. Westmoreland County School Board meeting the Cople Elementary School Problem Solvers told the board members that it is important for people to do as their mothers have told them, “if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” Along with this motto, the group explained why they chose the topic bullying for their project, presented facts on bullying and shared some of the work they have done this year to prevent bullying. Continuing their efforts to stop bullying, the group proposed a resolution to make Jan. 20-24 “No Name Calling Week.” All board members agreed to this resolution and it was passed following their presentation. In the spirit of anti-bullying, Chairman Iris Lane also proposed a resolution to make the month of January 2014 Bully prevention month recognized by the Westmoreland County Public Schools. This resolution was also approved.
