Kovach served with six counts of child porn
On March 5, Virginia State Police Special Agent Michael Jedrey, along with Virginia State Police and Colonial Beach Police Department officials, served six warrants on Colonial Beach resident Michael Kovach for possession of child pornography.
Kovach was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography after having a history of searching on what is known on the internet as peer to peer or P2P networks conducting activities related to child pornography.
Westmoreland County Commonwealth’s Attorney Julia Sichol suggested the electronic devices seized from Kovach’s home in Colonial Beach had preliminarily supported the warrants intent, but could not disclose any additional information because the investigation is ongoing.
A forensic search on the totality of the evidence is currently being conducted.
