Obituaries, Week of May 28: Clark, Wall
Edward “Eddie” Vernon Clark, 50, of Burgess passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. He was a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church, Burgess. Mr. Clark was a plumber by trade who was employed by Allison’s Ace Hardware, Lottsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon H. Clark and Roseanna Clark. Mr. Clark is survived by his three children, Lacy Michell Clark of Saluda, Elizabeth “Brooke” Clark and Matthew “Kyle” Clark, both of Burgess; two grandchildren, Kaylee Jackowski and Cooper Self; sister, Barbara Clark of Virginia Beach; half-brother Robert Rock of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Coan Baptist Church, Heathsville, Friday, May 23, 2014 with Reverend Robert Lee Farmer officiating. Private burial at a later date. Robert Michael Wall, 50, loving son and brother, was born in Fayetteville, N.C. He managed restaurants in Missouri and Florida before moving to San Francisco, Calif., where he worked at Gap headquarters for a number of years.
Robert loved people and all who knew him will miss his wry sense of humor and contagious laughter. He loved interior design. When his health began to decline, he moved to Virginia to be closer to family. While in Virginia, he took up container gardening for his own enjoyment.
He is survived by his brother, Jesse, III; his dad, Jesse, Jr.; his stepmother, Marcia; his mother and step-dad, Darleen and Rhon Nelson, and his uncles, Bruce and Scott Blay.
Services will be private.
