Hipple, who was principal for only one school year, said that he was leaving to pursue other opportunities. Prior to his tenure at CBPS, Hipple worked as a principal and assistant principal at Rapphannock County Public Schools.
Hipple followed Clint Runyan as the principal at CBHS and CBMS. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State Univeristy and a Master of Education degree from California University of Pennsylvania.
Hipple has three children, one of whom, Nicholas, just graduated from CBHS this month. Daughter Libby was inducted to the National Honor Society at CBHS in May.
His resignation follows closely on the heels of Superintendent Kathleen Beane’s resignation who resigned at the June meeting of the school board. The effective date of her resignation is also June 30.
Elementary Principal, Mary Fisher, has assured the Westmoreland News that she is not resigning her position.
