Montross Health Clinic celebrates 20 years
For those who need medical assistance but are uninsured and financially deprived, Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Montross could truly be what the doctor ordered.
Every other Thursday from 9 a.m. until about 2 p.m., they offer a full service medical clinic and prescription services. The clinic is an outreach program of the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic located in Kilmarnock.
The Montross clinic celebrated its 20th year anniversary last year.
Looking to bring medical need services closer to the heart of Westmoreland County, Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church not only provided the space needed, but renovated the facility which makes for a clean, well–organized and professional clinic.
Upon entering, one may encounter either Wallace McGuinness or Joyce Bledsoe for screening at the new patient welcome area and from there, phlebotomist Cynthia Headly for a blood draw or family nurse practitioner Diane van Landingham.
