Colonial Beach gears up for Bike fest
The First Annual Colonial Beach Bike fest is shaping up to be a major event, which promises to be an occasion to behold, as committee members and the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce bring all their ideas to scheduled meetings.
The Bike Fest will be the largest, grandest and most spectacular event Westmoreland County will have ever witnessed in its 451 year history with more to come as the name implies-“First Annual.”
The event kicks off on October 9 and ends October 12 and in the days between, the course of Colonial Beach’s history may be forever changed as this event will put Colonial Beach back on the map as the Beach was once known for its value in entertainment some years ago.
The major sponsors are All-American Harley Davidson in Hughesville, Md., the Fisher House which provides for military families, Jack Winegardner Chevrolet in Indian Head Md., Radio 97.7 “The Rocket,” Miller Genuine Draft, the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, High Tides Restaurant in Colonial Beach and Cyberbility Web Design.
Bands and battle of the bands are everywhere with long time nationally known ‘Molly Hatchet’ as the premier rock band playing a free concert on Saturday the 11 from 3-5:30 p.m.
