The Annual Meeting of Preservation Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula (PNNMP) will be held at Wellford Hall, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Warsaw. There will be a short business meeting starting at 11 a.m., including elections of new trustees. Farnham Manor Assisted Living along with Hospice of Virginia is sponsoring enrichment programs to include a continuing education (CE) credit from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be served, the topic is, entering a new dementia: an understanding of dementia in the modern sense. The Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society will present the “John Paul Hanbury Award” to the Inn At Montross, 21 Polk Street in Montross, at 11:30 AM. The award recognizes outstanding restoration/renovation to an historical property on the Northern Neck. The ceremony is open to the public. The Inn will offer a special luncheon of historical fare immediately following the ceremony. Reservations are required. Call (804) 493-8624). $
The Westmoreland County Republicans will hold a mass meeting at 1 p.m. (registration beginning at noon) in the District Courtroom, George D. English building, Montross, to elect Delegates for the May 17-18, 2013 Republican Convention to elect the Commonwealth’s Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General. Pre-filing forms for delegates must be delivered to F.C. Dugan III, 1740 Wilton Rd, Hague, no later than 5 p.m. March 13.
