Washington and Lee Girls soccer team defeats Indians 3-0   The Washington and Lee Varsity soccer squads have hit full stride into the spring season.  The Girls and Boys both traveled to Middlesex on Monday, April 13th.  The Lady Eagles put up a valiant fight and appeared in the second half to dominate control of the ball bringing up numerous scoring opportunities that were not to happen.  W&L Girls fell

    Alec Westall of Washington and Lee sent in a cross from teammate Jorge Barajas to kick the Eagles’ lead up to 3-1.

    A W&L Boys Varsity game against West Point was held at A.T. Johnson Wednesday night.  The Eagles won in a 4-3 overtime victory.  Taking an early lead with a quick goal by Jacob Daiger from a pass by Luis Chipres, it looked like it was going to be an easy game for W&L.  However, four minutes later, the Pointers scored on a loose ball in the Eagle box.  Near the

    The Colonial Beach Lady Drifters softball team held a game versus the Courtland Lady Cougars on Wednesday, March 25. After giving up a run in the top half of the inning, the Lady Drifters struck back to tie the score, 1-1, in the first. The Lady Cougars plated two more runs in the third to lead 3-1; the home team scored in the bottom half to make the score, 3-2.

  • Washington and Lee varsity baseball team starts strong

    The Washington & Lee High School Varsity Baseball Team opened its up its season last week with matchups versus Charles City and West Point.  Monday’s matchup with Charles City opened up slowly but ended in a 29-0 rout finding the Eagles on top.  Thursday’s game versus the Pointers of West Point also ended favorably for the Eagles, finding them on the good side of a 9 – 3 final score.

They fell behind midway through the first period by six then fought their way back to tie the score, 15-15, when the first horn sounded.
