It’s been over a year since it was shown that Montross’ water lines could not provide the water needed to attend to the fire suppression needs of the planned new high school. In that time, the decision was made to create a hookup between the county and town water lines so that the school’s fire system could be brought up to code when it is constructed.
During this time, Resource International had conducted a study on solutions to the problem, and back in December, a plan was finalized to have the water lines meet at the new high school. Over the last few months, Resource International had been going to bid on the project, which in turn brought Charlie Riedlinger to come before the Board of Supervisors meeting last week.
