Don’t wait, check the date and replace your smoke alarms that are over 10 years old. Smoke detectors should be replaced every 10 years. Richmond County Department of Emergency Services and RCVFD have partnered with The American Red Cross to bring FREE smoke detectors to the citizens of Richmond County. Westmoreland County Triad/SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) meets every fourth Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office (behind the new courthouse in Montross). Triad is a non-profit crime information and prevention partnership between seniors, law enforcement, and local businesses to provide seniors and their care-givers information they need to avoid being victims of crime – scams, burglaries, identification theft, home invasions, elder abuse, and more.
