The rainy, cold, gray weather did not stop Santa Claus from arriving in Colonial Beach on Saturday to open the Christmas season. Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce held their annual Santa’s Parade and Winter Fest on the Town Hill Saturday starting at noon.

Katie Pitts was caught being one of Santa’s elves and helped children decorate cookies throughout the afternoon.
