With the Drifters seeded in first place in the district and playing their closest rivals, fans of both teams packed the Drifter Dome for the Monday night game. As the game started the defenses of both teams were strong and ready to roll allowing no score in the first minute of play.

The first period ended with W&L ahead 13-11. The Eagles kept the lead through much of the half albeit only by a point or two. At the end of the first half the Drifters lead 32-29.

Recharged and ready to go both teams charged into the third ending it at Drifters – 44 to the Eagles – 39. The slight lead was helped by foul shots made by Tavares Lucas.

Lucas had an incredible night of ball prior to a knee injury taking him out of the game with just 1:31 to go. Senior Mason Delane helped bring the game home scoring foul shots late in the game.

CB advances to round two on Wednesday evening. Their opponent was not known as of Monday evening.
