At approximately 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday Feb. 5, Westmoreland County Sheriff’s officers and the Colonial Beach Police Department responded to a call reporting that two people had been shot at a home on the corner of New Monrovia Rd./Old Rd. and Monrovia Ln.
At approximately 4:05 p.m., another call came in reporting that a car had crashed into a home on Cedar Hill Rd. The responding officer also reported a car at a different location with its windshield blown out and no occupant in sight.
Dispatch had responded that a call had come into the Westmoreland Sheriff’s department of shots fired into a vehicle.
The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s office believes the three incidents may be related. The police have suspects, but no one has been apprehended at this time.
No one in the Cedar Hill Rd. incident was injured and the two victims in the Monrovia shooting are at Mary Washington Hospital. There is no word yet on their condition.
