Potomac River Cleanup

George Washington Birthplace National Monument will be hosting a local Potomac River Cleanup on Saturday April 14 from 1-4 p.m. and is calling for volunteers to help pick up litter on the Potomac River and Popes Creek shores at the park. This fun annual event is held in cooperation with the Alice Ferguson Foundation.   Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are needed.   Interested volunteers are asked to contact park cleanup coordinator Dick Lahey at richard_lahey@nps.gov   or (804) 224-1732 ext. 235 for more information or to register for the event.
