Women’s Commission of the Northern Neck Association @ New St. John Baptist Church

The Women’s Commission of the Northern Neck Baptist Association will be having its annual Cultural Program, a presentation entitled ” A Pageant of Light and Love” on Saturday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at the New St. John Baptist Church, Kilmarnock.  There will  be participation from all Missionary Ministries of  the Northern Neck Baptist Association, as well as musical offerings from local church youth choirs.

This Saturday night, March 17, Mr. Grover Cleveland Winfield III, an English teacher at Rappahannock High School, with the assistance and support of Richmond County Public Schools, the Westmoreland Players, Pastor John W. Ashley, and Tappahannock Memorial UMC, presents “Sounds of Freedom.” This program is a cultural experience celebrating American black history, featuring the rhythmic storytelling of Atumpan which is Asante for ‘talking drums. Originally scheduled to be at the Westmoreland Players Theatre in Callao will now take place at Tappahannock Memorial UMC, 345 Earl St., Tappahannock at 7 p.m..
