Drifter signs letter of intent for D1 team

On Wednesday, November 14, Mason Delane became Colonial Beach High’s first Division 1 baseball commit.  Wednesday was the first day of the early signing period for college baseball across the nation.  Mason signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Virginia Commonwealth University.  This major accomplishment was witnessed and celebrated by his family, friends, teammates and coaches.  Mason has been a staple member of the Drifter baseball program since his freshman season.  He has been named 1st Team All-Conference and the team’s academic award winner for three straight seasons.  As a junior, he was also named 1st Team All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State.
