Eagles erase 21-point deficit

Washington & Lee’s Varsity Boys Basketball Team erased a 21-point deficit on the road last Friday. In the team’s first district game, W&L went on to win over the Northumberland Indians 73-71.
W&L was led by a high scoring performance by Trey Brown knocking down 30 points and back court mate Calvin Harris scoring four points to go along with at least four critical assists in the final half of play.
“We were just focused, didn’t change our game plan and just calmed down,” said W&L coach George Hunter.
Milan Bullock joined Brown scoring in double figures with 11, followed Kwame Gray with eight, Terrin Dickerson and Jeremy Turner with seven each, Davon Hamilton with four and Malik Roy with two.
Last Friday’s game extended W&L’s winning streak to two improving their overall record to 5-7, 1-0 in the district. Northumberland falls to an overall record of 7-5, 0-1 in the district.
