The W&L Girls Varsity Soccer team started their week with a solid win over 2A Conference opponent Nandua. The Lady Eagles dominated possession throughout the game and goal keeper, Miquella Snider, earned her first shutout of the season with a final score of 3-0. Gracie Taylor, Dani Lopez, and Claire Whitman all scored for W&L.
Wednesday brought Bruton, another 2A rival team, to the home field at A.T. Johnson. Starting a double header, the Varsity Girls team had the tables turned completely and sank under a losing score of 7-0.

The Bruton team was cohesive and boasted players with incredible skills that our Eagles could not overcome. The Lady Eagles next game is at King William on Wednesday, April 5.
The Varsity Boys Soccer team hosted the second game against Bruton with fast pace and high action. W&L controlled the ball well and held the visitors in check for most of the game. Eddie Jims scored our only goal with a header from an assisted corner kick. Dayton Combs as keeper, again, performed above expectations with excellent goal keeping. Bruton squeezed two into the net and took the win with a final of 2-0. The Eagles played at home Monday, April 3 against Caroline.
