When Washington & Lee took to the field for its first playoff game against Middlesex,
no one was sure what to expect from the visiting Chargers. By game’s end, it didn’t matter as the Eagles completely dominated its way to a 49-0 victory.
On W&L’s first possession, they drove to the Middlesex 8 yard line before fumbling and coming up empty. The Chargers drove to the W&L 45 before the defense, playing without Ryan Taylor (out for the year) and Milan Bullock, came to life and forced a punt.
On the ensuing possession, W&L converted a key fourth down on a Treshaun Brown (11/17, 167 yards, 4 TD, 1 Int) pass to Jarret Sumiel (5 Rec, 102 yards) to keep the drive alive. Three plays later, Brown hit Sumiel again, this time for a 1-yard touchdown.
