Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
To kick off An American Turning Point, on July 12 and 13, the Civil War 150 HistoryMobile will also visit the Historic Christ Church site.  This 53-foot expandable tractor trailer is an interactive “museum on wheels” produced by the Commonwealth’s Virginia Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War Commission.  The HistoryMobile launched on July 21, 2011, in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Manassas and is visiting museums, parks, fairs, schools, and other sites throughout the Commonwealth.  Viewing times for the free HistoryMobile are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m on July 12 and 13.  Additional living history and educational activities are being planned for July 13 and the day will conclude at 6:00 p.m. with a free outdoor concert of 1860s period music by the duo Ampersand .
All events take place on the campus of Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Rd, Weems.  Portions of the programs are funded by a grant from the Dominion Foundation and Dominion Virginia Power.  For more information and detailed schedule of events, visit www.christchurch1735.org or call 804-438-6855
