Last year, Stratford Hall’s Wine & Oyster Festival was canceled due to weather, and this past weekend, it was evident that the community wanted to make up for lost time.
On September 21 and 22, hundreds of patrons came from all around the Northern Neck to enjoy the sunshine at Stratford Hall’s annual festival. With admission, guests were welcome to tour the Great House, enjoy the scenery of the yard, and try wines and beers from numerous Virginia vineyards and breweries.
There were many food trucks and tents, including some of the freshest oysters Virginia has to offer. There were information tents from local animal shelters, Tidewater Oyster Gardener’s Association, and even artisan craft booths.
Car shows were available for all who were interested; Mustang Car Clubs showed on Saturday, and Memory Lane Car Club held their show on Sunday.
The Northern Neck is rich with history, and Stratford Hall is no exception. This family-friendly event allows people of all ages to come out and enjoy the beauty of Virginia.
Horses greeted the guests at Stratford Hall.
