Fugitive arrested in Westmoreland for D.C. murder

During the early morning of Tuesday, May 7, 2019, the D.C. and Richmond U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force along with two local task forces went to a residence in the 1400 block of Nomini Grove Road in Westmoreland County to locate a fugitive. Upon arriving at the residence, marshals arrested Mr. Marcus Whitaker, 28, on warrants for Murder and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

Subsequent to the arrest, a search warrant was obtained by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office and executed at the residence. As a result, Mr. Tarry Jeron (TJ) Wilson, 34, was arrested by the sheriff’s office for Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. Seized items included eight ounces of Marijuana (valued at $2,240.00), two grams of Cocaine (valued at $200.00) two firearms and $2,787.64 in U.S. Currency.

The joint operation included the Tri-County Drug Task Force (Caroline, King George and Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Offices, Virginia State Police and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service) and the Chesapeake Bay Narcotics Task Force (Lancaster and Northumberland County Sheriff’s Offices and the Virginia State Police).

Both subjects were arrested without incident. Investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
