Summer has gone, and fall slips closer and closer to winter. One could be forgiven for thinking that this meant the town of Montross was going to stay inside. Instead, in the spirit of the First Fridays and the Fall Festival, Montross’ Christmas Spirit Festival finally rolls along. With events from Friday Dec. 7, all the way to Sunday Dec. 9, it promises to have plenty of Christmas cheer for all who partake.
“I’m really pleased with the schedule this year,” Montross Town Manager Patricia Lewis commented during her update to the Town Council. “It is going to be awesome.”
The events throughout the days on this upcoming weekend range from open-house events at the Carrot Cottage and Bangz Hair Salon to many places serving up punch, cookies, and hot chocolate while Santa Claus awaits visitors near Peoples’ Community Bank on Friday. His elves, meanwhile, are over at Virginia Commonwealth Bank.
