The lively and distinctive vintage music of the Potomac River Dixieland Trio will be featured during Music Night at the Soda Shoppe at the Westmoreland County museum’s Wakefield Building Friday, Nov. 16 from 6 – 8 p.m. This one-night only show is replacing the Museum’s November Pop ‘n Art series, which will begin again next March at its original museum building.
The Trio includes three fantastic musicians whose combined years of singing and playing their instruments totals more than 120 years, although they have been playing together only about 18 months. Dave Tucker on piano, Joe Price on sousaphone and Becky Hunt on tenor banjo charm their audiences with early and traditional American jazz–Dixieland, New Orleans style, Blues, Ragtime. Hunt’s mellow voice also provides the vocals.
