Mark Jones, born and raised in Westmoreland County, has brought one more dimension to the eating pleasures that can be found in the Northern Neck. From BBQ to Angus beef burgers and then to blackened scallops, Jones has years of experience in whetting the appetites of those he serves.
Jones has been catering private dinners for a little over a year and recently purchased a food unit in hopes of expanding his business. He made his first debut with the unit alongside other vendors at Colonial Beach’s Potomac River Festival.
Along with private dinners and his first vendor experience, Jones has catered the RCC pinning ceremony for two years in a row, has done a job for Smith Bowman Bourbon Distillery and plans to again, along with providing a number of dinners at the annex of Providence Methodist Church. Most recently he held a Mother’s Day brunch at the church and said when he holds dinners there, he donates a portion of the proceeds back to the church.
Jones said he always likes to use local products in his cooking, buys from local farmers when he can and prides himself on using food fresh from the land and sea.
