Lady Eagles soccer regroup to win

The W&L Lady Eagles varsity soccer team traveled to the Northumberland Lady Indians on Monday, April 29. The game ended in a (1-1) tie. Esmeralda Zelaya put the ball in the net for the Lady Eagles on a pass from Sophia Luzier. Savanah Ess had 11 saves and the defense was strong. The Lady Eagles faced the Caroline Lady Cavaliers at home on Wednesday, May 1. They were first on the scoreboard; Megan Smith sent a corner kick to the near post and Esmeralda Zelaya booted the ball into the back of the net for a (1-0) lead at the 15:15 mark. Esmeralda Zelaya sent the ball to Sophia Luzier who slipped the ball through a couple defenders and pass the goal keeper to make it (2-0) at the 45’.
