The Westmoreland County School Board is expected to make a decision on its new superintendent this winter.
This announcement came after current Superintendent Elaine Fogliani resigned in July and James Cook, Director of Personnel and Student Services, was approved by the board to serve on an interim basis.
According to a press release issued by the school division, several steps will be taken including a survey that will be sent to parents and must be returned by Sept. 20. Then, on the same day, a public hearing will take place at the Gerald B. Roane Center for Excellence at 4 p.m.
