NND athletes place at state

Northern Neck District runners, throwers, and jumpers competed in the class 1 state outdoor track and field championship on Friday and Saturday May 31 and June 1 at East Rockingham High School. In the boy’s 100m Raiders Savion Epps finished 4th in 11.01 seconds and Red Devils Chris Dameron 9th in 11.37 secs. 200m Raiders Savion Epps 4th in 22.88 secs, Red Devils Chris Dameron 7th in 23.37, and Trojans Isiah Clark 10th in 23.55 secs. 400m Red Devils Marcus Keeve 1st in 50.99, 800m Red Devils De’Avion Harding 2:04.57 secs, and Red Devils Dominique Veney 5th in 2:07.92. 1600m Red Devils Dominique Veney 4th in 4:41.54, 4x100m relay Raiders 10th in 45.87, 4x400m relay Red Devils 1st in 3:33.66, 4x800m relay Red Devils 1st in 8:25.85. High jump Eagles James ‘JJ” McNeill 1st with a jump of 6’4”, Red Devils Benjamin Lee 4th 6’, Shane McNeill 7th 6’, and Trojans Davante Harvey 10th 5’8”, long jump Trojans Isiah Clark 3rd 20’9”, Eagles James ‘LJ’ Kelly 5th 20’7”, Red Devils Chris Dameron 6th 20’6”.
