Dennis Hamilton Johns
On Saturday, June 8, 2013 Dennis Hamilton Johns of Montross, formerly of Severna Park. Compassionate friend, of Shirley Case. Loving brother of, Kenneth and Kathy Johns, Suzanne and Kevin Kearns, Linda Beall, Barbara Johns, and Robin and Deborah Johns and sister in law Kay Johns. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, 7 cousins and his dear Aunt and Godmother Eva Listman. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ellen
Johns and Brother John. His Uncles and Aunts Aldoph Listman, Norman and
Eleanor Johns, William and Ethel Johns.
Dennis graduated from Severna Park High School in the class of 1962. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968-1972, and thereafter retired from Verizon Telephone Company after 30 years where he was a manager. He was a member of the NRA and had a passion for fine wood working and gardening. He followed Crockett¹s Victory Garden and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Paul Raymond Pitts, 53, of Warsaw, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Paul worked in the Pitts family auto business in Montross for a number of years.
He also ran Riverside Auto in Warsaw and worked with Bay Transit as fleet manager.
He is survived by his brothers, Emmett Thomas Pitts, Jr. and Kenneth J. Pitts of Montross, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and his friends, the Payne family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Celeste Pitts; brothers, J. Earl Pitts, and David L. Pitts; and sisters, Peggy L. Chatham and Pauline P. Carlson.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Welch Funeral
Home, Montross Chapel. Rev. Bobby Greene officiated. Interment was in Ephesus Christian Cemetery, Foneswood, Va. Pallbearers were Donald Payne, Chastine Payne, Mark Pitts, James Mullenax, Robert Pitts and Dale Robinson.

Joseph Louis Tarchie
Joseph Louis Tarchie, 73, of Colonial Beach passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at home.
He was born in Shamokin, Pa. He retired from Stanford Marine as a woodworker on boats. Joseph was a member of the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge, Eagles and the V.F.W. Axillary.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Tarchie of the home; a daughter, Diane Singletary and her husband, John, of Manassas; grandchildren, Heather and her husband, Kevin and Michael; a sister, Louise Forgione of Pa.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, Colonial Beach with the Rev. Ron Okrasinski officiating.
A celebration of life reception will follow in the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge sponsored by the C.B. Moose, Eagles and V.F.W.
