Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Colonial Beach are hosting the First Annual Osprey Fest April 12-14.
With the town being a bird sanctuary and drawing bird watchers from all over, this festival is a perfect fit for the revitalization efforts. Events from bird watching tours to craft activities for children, will take place throughout the weekend.
One of the major draws is a trolley tour that will cover the town, showing off the ospreys that nest along the Potomac River as well as the other birds that call Colonial Beach home. The group has rented a fully disabled accessible trolley to allow all residents and visitors in town to participate in the tours.
