Police arrest robbery suspect and NC fugitive

On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 one individual was arrested in connection with a burglary in the Ebb Tide area near Oak Grove. While sheriff’s office detectives were canvassing neighborhoods in the Sandy Point and Tucker Hill area where additional burglaries had occurred, they observed a vehicle which matched the description of a vehicle in video surveillance. Occupants of the vehicle were Jacques A. Douglas and Shamar Thompson.

Douglas, 20 years old, Warsaw, is charged with one count each of Felony Breaking/Entering, Grand Larceny and Grand Larceny of a Firearm. In addition, Douglas is also charged with Felony Eluding and Failure to Maintain Right of Highway.

Thompson, 20 years old, Hague, VA is charged with a Fugitive from Justice Warrant.

Both received No Bond and had their first court appearance on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Westmoreland County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.
