All through the year, VDOT has been working tirelessly to see to it that various roadways around Westmoreland County are back up into working shape; and with fall in full swing and winter around the corner, preparations are also in the works for when the inevitable snowfall becomes much more than a simple dusting. At this month’s Board of Supervisors meeting, VDOT was on hand to inform them of just what had been going on, and that preparations were at long last underway for this year.

We can get them cleaned and safe much faster if they do when this stuff happens. I know some people can’t avoid being on the road, but if they can, we’ll get the job done that much quicker.”
