Cople Elementary School second graders recently attended the play, “Tuskegee Peanut Man: George Washington Carver,” as they celebrated Black History Month.  The play was produced by the Swift Creek Mill Theatre in South Chesterfield, Virginia. The play showcased the life and contributions of George Washington Carver. Additionally, the students enjoyed lunch at the theatre and learned the history of Swift Creek Mill.  According to Ms. Leslie Steele, Cople principal, “This was an awesome learning experience for our students!”
