The fifth grade classes at Washington District Elementary School recently celebrated the finish of their 10 week D.A.R.E. classes. The D.A.R.E. program is taught by SRO Sr. Deputy Kim Simon and teaches valuable life skills, character development, making safe and responsible choices and drug abuse awareness and prevention. Four students from each of the fifth grade classes were honored with certificates for their D.A.R.E. essays. The students were Sarah Kirtley, Deangelo Barnes, Cheyenne Fulkerson, and Ashanti Ashton.
