With another round of baseball and softball district games to go for local teams, eyes are focused on the upcoming district tournament to be held at Dream Fields in Lancaster County.

Beginning May 21 and continuing thru May 23, the Northern Neck District top four finishing varsity softball and baseball teams will be vying for a chance to be the tournament champions. In doing so, they help their chances at earning a playoff bid in the Region A Playoffs.

On May 21, the top seeded teams will face the fourth seeded teams at 5 p.m. followed by the second seeded teams facing the third seeded teams at 7:30 p.m. Should the games be rained out, they will be rescheduled to May 22 at the same times.

The winners will play on May 23 in the district tournament finals at Dream Fields. The softball tournament finals will begin at 5:30 p.m., with baseball following at 7:30 p.m. The rain date is set for May 24 with the same times.

Rappahannock teams ahead, Lancaster baseball team closes the gap
