At the Westmoreland Circuit Court last Friday, Matthew Blair entered a plea deal to plead no-contest to a charge of DUI-induced manslaughter, stemming from a traffic crash that took place last June.
On June 26, 2018, Blair was driving down Ridge Road when he drifted into the oncoming lane, right into a head-on collision with Patricia Copper. Copper died at the scene. State Trooper Snyder responded to the scene, and later took out a search warrant for a toxicology report on Blair’s blood. The blood tested positive for THC and methadone.
While Blair has pled no-contest, sentencing will not happen until April 19 this year at 9 a.m. Until then, he remains out on a personal recognizance bond with no violations.
